4 (16-ounce) cans baked beans, drained
1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 cup molasses
1 cup barbecue sauce (we love something smoky, like 1934 Smoke Sauce)
2 tbsp. yellow mustard
5 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 (6-ounce) can french-fried onions, crushed
Salt & pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 350F.
Drain beans and pineapple and add to a large bowl. Add molasses, barbecue sauce, mustard, bacon, and a third of the onions. Add salt and pepper to taste and stir to combine. Pour beans into a 9x13 casserole dish and top with remaining onions.
Cook for 1 hour or until beans brown and bubble. Let sit for at least 30 minutes before serving to thicken.
