Grilled Ribeye Steak

Our Nashville Spice Company Austin Steak Rub, which is hand blended with coarse black pepper, roasted minced garlic, onion flakes, shallots, coarse sea salt, oregano, red pepper flakes and ancho flakes, is really all you need to get a flavorful steak. Be patient, follow these tips, don’t stress and you too, can have a perfectly cooked, flavorful steak dinner that will wow any dinner guest.

 

Ingredients

16 oz ribeye, no bone, 11/2 to 2-inches thick or 2-8 oz steaks

1 Tbs Nashville Spice Company Austin Steak Rub

 

Directions

Preheat gas grill on high heat for 10-15 minutes.

Liberally coat the steak with Nashville Spice Company Austin Steak Rub, pressing seasoning into meat. Allow steaks to come to room temperature.

Place steaks on a hot, oiled grill and do not move them. Cook uncovered for 6-8 minutes, then flip and cook the other side 5 more minutes.

Remove from heat and test for doneness by inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the meat. 

Rare: 125°–135°F | Medium Rare: 135°–145°F

Medium: 145·–150°F | Well Done: 150°–160°F

If the steak isn’t done and the outside looks good remove thermometer, reduce heat on the grill and move meat to indirect heat until it comes to the correct internal temperature.

Remove meat from the grill and let rest for 5-10 minutes, cut and serve.
