Best Ever Snickerdoodles



1 1/2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

Cinnamon-Sugar Coating:

2 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons Nashville Spice Company Korintje Cinnamon


Preheat oven to 400ºF.

In a large bowl, beat together sugar, butter, shortening, eggs, and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined. 

Shape dough into balls, roughly the size of a ping pong ball.

Combine Nashville Spice Company Korintje Cinnamon with sugar in a small bowl.

Roll each dough ball through the cinnamon sugar and place 2" apart on an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake until just set, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and transfer to cooling racks.
