Almond Crusted Tilapia


1 egg

1 tablespoon Nashville Spice Company Orange Pepper Seasoning

½ cup ground almonds

1 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese (for coating)

4 tilapia filets

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons olive oil

½ cup fresh grated parmesan cheese (for topping)

Nashville Spice Company dried parsley

4 lemon wedges



  1. In a small bowl beat the egg and orange pepper seasoning and set aside
  2. In a shallow dish combine ground almonds and 1 cup grated parmesan cheese until blended and set aside.
  3. Dust tilapia filets with flour and shake off the excess
  4. Dip tilapia filets in egg/orange pepper mixture and press into the almond mix
  5. In a large skillet heat olive oil over medium high heat
  6. Add tilapia filets for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown
  7. Turn heat down to medium
  8. Sprinkle the rest of the parmesan cheese on top of the tilapia filets, cover the pan and cook until cheese has melted (about 4 minutes)
  9. Serve tilapia with parsley places and lemon wedges
