Allspice Extract

Spanish explorers discovered allspice in the West Indies shortly after Columbus first visited the islands. These unique berries have a flavor that is reminiscent of a blend of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and pepper. This is where the name allspice actually comes from. OliveNation's pure allspice extract can be used in baking, beverages and ice cream. All you need is one teaspoon to flavor your typical cake or cookie recipe. Substitute this flavoring in lieu of vanilla extract in cheese cake, pancakes and waffles. Three to four ounces of extract is sufficient to flavor five gallons of ice cream. Have some fun and experiment with this unusual extract. This extract is sugar and gluten-free. Ingredients: Alcohol, water and pure oil of pimento berry.
